Detailed Product Description
- Celecoxib is a fluoronated benzenesulfonamide derivative (C17H14F3N3O2S; molecular wt = 381.38). It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with a highly selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitory action. It possesses anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic activities. These actions are thought to be due to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis catalyzed by COX-2.
